Nissan says it will electrify all new offerings in key markets by the early 2030s.

The company’s electrification strategy implies achievement of carbon neutrality by mid-century (2050).

Nissan will introduce battery innovations, including solid-state batteries, and continue developing its e-Power hybrid tech for vehicles it plans for core markets, such as China, the USA, Europe, Japan.

All global automakers have been shifting toward green cars and carbon-neutral future, and Nissan keeps up with others.

Japan aims to stop selling new petrol-powered vehicles by the mid-2030s in favor of pure electric, hybrid and fuel cell vehicles. Japan’s green growth strategy 2020 includes a 2050 carbon-neutral goal.

In 2020, renewable energy accounted for 18 percent in power mix of the country. Now Japan is reviewing its energy policy.
