Some of the most anticipated sports models in Europe are rated high for safety.
Euro NCAP has published the results of the first crash tests in 2021. The experts of this independent organization assessed the level of safety of probably the most exclusive and highly awated new products on the European car market. It’s about the Cupra Formentor hot crossover and the Polestar 2 crossover coupe.
Both models successfully took crash tests and got the highest rating of 5 Stars.

SEAT builds the Cupra Formentor under a special sub-brand. It was first unveiled in the spring of 2020 and went into series production 6 months after.
The Cupra Formentor engine choices include a 1.5 TSI (150 hp), a 2.0 TSI (310 hp) combined with 4Drive all-wheel drive, and a 1.4 e-HYBRID plug-in hybrid engine with 204 or 245 hp.
The Formentor prices start at 31,490 euros in Germany. A range-topping Cupra Formentor VZ Plug-in-Hybrid will cost from 43,230 euros.
The Polestar 2 is a 100 percent electric product of the Swedish-Chinese brand created mainly by Volvo designers.
The Polestar 2, like the Cupra Formentor, has got high safety rating. It is even ahead of the Spanish SUV in the Pedestrian Protection category.
The stylish electric car is equipped with two electric motors, which are capable of generating power up to 408 hp and up to 660 Nm of torque.
The Polestar 2’s base price in Germany is 54,925 euros. The Polestar 1 powerful sport coupe is also on sale in Europe, starting at 155,000 euros.
