The other day, the first customers picked up the Volkswagen ID.4 vehicles from the delivery centers in Wolfsburg and Dresden.

By March 1, already 23,500 orders for the Volkswagen ID.4 electric crossover have been received across Europe. This year, the manufacturer plans to deliver around 150,000 ID.4s globally. It is one third of the entire output of 450,000 electric vehicles set by VW for 2021.

Meantime, Volkswagen has been training 10,000 dealership employees. They learn all related areas of electric mobility. As for the ID.4, the model is now being rolled out to fully prepared dealers of the brand.

The crossover brings up-to-date standards of digitalization: over-the-air update capability (will be available from summer 2021), and an augmented reality head-up display.

Moreover, the company builds it at the Zwickau plant using the innovative carbon-neutral production process. The goal is to make there more than 1,400 vehicles daily during the summer in order to meet the high demand for the ID. family cars.
