Stellantis Keeps All Brands It Owns For 10 Year to Give Them a Chance

Despite multiple rumors saying that Stellantis will get rid of some brands, finally, the company has solved to give them a chance to prove they deserve a living.

Stellantis, we recall, is a new automotive company formed this year by the merger of PSA and FCA – Peugeot-Citroën and Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. As a result, 14 brands ended up under the umbrella of Stellantis. Today it is one of the largest groups in the auto industry.

Rumors have said such marques as Chrysler, Lancia, DS, Dodge, and even Vauxhall may die. We also reported about this. But it turns out there is no cause for concern.

Stellantis boss Carlos Tavares during the Financial Times’ Future of the Car event informed that they were “giving each (brand) a chance, giving each a time window of 10 years and giving funding for 10 years to do a core model strategy”.

Stellantis will not divest any of its brands to raise capital until at least 2031. Now, each management team must present a case for the brand they are running.

This especially applies to Chrysler with its very limited model range, and Lancia, once popular but today in demand only in Italy. These two brands will have to prove they are demanded.
